Job Summary:

This position reports to the Accounting Supervisor but will work closely with the entire accounting department. The individual will work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. This position will assist in coordinating our accounting policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate has solid analytical and communication skills and maintains a high standard of accuracy in daily tasks. They consistently strive to meet personal and departmental goals, apply feedback to develop increasing independence, take accountability for errors, and demonstrate a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting overall financial compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Follows the organization’s accounting policies, procedures and controls.
  • Assists in preparation of timely and accurate financial reports.
  • Assists with the monthly close process, including preparing routine journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accounts and appropriate records/documentation on all STAQ transactions and assets.
  • Preparation of Audited and Un-Audited reports for internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Reconcile Bank, Sales, AR and other general ledger accounts and subledgers.
  • Provide Support for AP and AR regularly.
  • Support ad-hoc requests as needed, including financial analysis, research, data gathering, reporting and assisting with special projects to support the Accounting/Finance functions.

  • Microsoft Dynamics GL experience a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • Professional experience working with confidential data and sensitive information preferred.
  • 1+ years of accounting experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
