If so, we'd love to meet you.As a Laborer, you'll play an important role in supporting daily landfill operations and helping create a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for customers, employees, and the community. Every day brings different opportunities—from operating equipment and maintaining grounds to assisting visitors and supporting facility improvement projects.What You'll DoIn this role, you will: Help maintain landfill grounds by mowing, trimming, landscaping, and collecting litter.Support facility appearance through painting, cleaning, beautification projects, and minor repairs.Build, repair, and maintain fences and erosion-control features such as silt fencing and straw bales.Operate a variety of vehicles and equipment, including: BackhoesStreet sweepersFuel trucksRoll-off trucksWater trucksOther support equipment Direct customers and haulers to appropriate disposal areas and ensure safe traffic flow throughout the facility.Fuel vehicles and equipment and complete required inspection and vehicle reports.Maintain facility sidewalks, roadways, restrooms, gates, wheel wash areas, and other operational spaces.Assist with litter collection along assigned highways and roadways.Support odor control efforts and help apply Alternate Daily Cover (ADC) when needed.Partner with mechanics and maintenance staff to perform basic equipment maintenance, change tires, and retrieve parts.Clean equipment tracks and wheels and help maintain a safe, organized worksite.Provide professional, courteous service to both internal and external customers.Respond to other operational needs and support team projects as assigned. What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications High school diploma or GED.Valid Ohio driver's license.Commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork. Preferred Qualifications Experience performing maintenance, groundskeeping, or facility upkeep.Experience operating light, medium, or heavy equipment. Physical RequirementsThis position is active and requires: Frequent walking, climbing, balancing, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and lifting.Regular lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of 100 pounds or more.Use of ladders, power tools, and various maintenance equipment.Working in and around traffic, construction-style environments, and confined work areas.Ability to meet vision requirements, including near, distance, color, and focused vision.Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
