Prevedere is looking for a high energy and technically capable Economist to work with our prospects on delivering econometric insights and conveying the value of Prevedere and our predictive analytics platform. The Presales Economist plays three primary roles:

  1. Serve as the company’s Subject Matter Expert related to economic trends and modeling techniques; deliver expert insight and guidance to customers, prospects, partners, analysts, co-workers, and industry groups
  2. Be an important member of the Presales team, bringing technical and economic expertise to the early stages of the sales cycle and delivering the value proposition of the Prevedere platform to prospects.
  3. Support the Economic Services team in the creation and delivery of Prevedere models, forecasts, and insights for customers via in person presentations and online meetings

What You Will Do:

  • Act as thought leader and subject matter expert during presales phase of a customer engagement and help drive expansion of the Prevedere footprint
  • Provide technical demonstrations of the Prevedere software to potential new customers telling the story of the Prevedere insights journey and the value of intelligent forecasting across the organization
  • Attend industry conferences, sometimes presenting at them, representing Prevedere as a member of the sales organization to help drive new leads for the business
  • Support and train our sales channel partners on go to market strategies, use cases, and technical skills as they look to sell the Prevedere platform
  • Heavily use time series regression combined with other forecasting methods to assist customers in improving forecast accuracy and delivering business insights
  • Produce executive read-outs, dashboards, and graphs to communicate the insights and outcomes to business leaders and executives
  • Work with sales, customer success, and other members of the Prevedere team to ensure the customer maximizes the value of the Prevedere software
  • Assist and/or prepare case studies, articles, blog posts, webinars, and white papers

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Master’s degree preferred and/or MBA
  • 3+ years of experience with development of predictive econometric models utilizing approaches such as regression and traditional univariate forecasting, as well as more advanced techniques
  • 3+ years of consulting and advising business leaders and executives in Fortune 500 organizations
  • Experience and excellence with in-person and online presentations to both large audiences and smaller executive level audiences
  • Expert in economic modeling, forecasting, and analysis by leveraging economic data sources such as US Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Federal Reserve
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve to identify potential areas of value for both existing customers and prospects
  • Passionate about helping companies realize the potential of economic insights at a macro and microeconomic level
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with business leaders and technical resources to achieve company results
  • Must be highly organized and creative with accomplished time and project management skills; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Past sales or presales experience is desired, but not required
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
