Overview:pH Matter, LLC is a small business developing materials for advanced energy storage and aerospace applications. The company specializes in development of catalysts and carbon nano-materials, and manufactures components for batteries, fuel cells, and electrolysis equipment. We have a need for a research and development laboratory technician who will assist with the preparation of components and perform testing. Candidates should have strong interest in working in an R&D environment and be comfortable with a laboratory setting. The position will be full-time with benefits and a competitive salary.Responsibilities include:- Perform batch calculations to support material synthesis- Use wet chemistry techniques to prepare catalysts- Operate equipment for synthesis of carbon nano-materials- Fabricate electrodes using coating equipment- Assemble fuel cells and lithium ion batteries- Perform analyses and statistical comparisons of results to contribute to technical reports- Perform QC testing of products, compounds, or batches- Maintain, operate, and calibrate laboratory equipment, including necessary suppliesQualifications:- Associates degree or higher in chemistry or related field is desired- Attention to detail and ability to work safely in a lab environment is essential.- Ability to use Microsoft word and excel is required.- Excellent oral and written communications skills is desired.
