SUMMARY

Candidate will co-create and maintain the social pages for Movement Genius across Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, and Youtube. Candidate will collaborate with the greater MG team on content development, testing, reporting, and revising strategy to achieve goals.

EXPANDED RESPONSIBILITIES

The Social Media Marketing Intern is a paid internship for a professional who assists in advertising and promotional efforts for Movement Genius through social communication channels. The candidate is responsible for fulfilling the social marketing calendar by curating content from partners, co-creating copy for the posts, adding captions to social videos, scheduling posts to launch, and engaging folks in social communities to increase followers and engagement.

Social Marketing Intern Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Managing content submissions from Instructors in the dropbox account
• Adding captions to video submissions for accessibility
• Creating and scheduling pre-written social communication to Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube
• Managing the social marketing calendar and scheduling posts
• Communicating the weekly social plan to the MG Team & reporting on analytics each month
• Work with Marketing Coordinator to determine keywords to integrate in social content
• Maintain a system for link tracking, customer journey tracking, and efficient performance measurements in partnership with Marketing Coordinator
• Create original video and graphic content for the social feeds (templates available)

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

The Intern will work alongside our CEO for Content Strategy, Digital Media and User Experience to achieve client results through integrated digital marketing. The Intern will work alongside the COO for Paid Marketing Spends and Reporting.

• Very strong verbal and written communication skills
• A hunger for learning and the ability to perform independent research to solve problems
• Proficiency with Google Sheets, Google Docs, Piktochart or Canva, Google
• Confidence growing audience on Social Media platforms including Tiktok, Facebook, and Instagram
• A working knowledge of search engine optimization and/or digital marketing is needed for success
• Ability to thrive while working on multiple projects with strict deadlines
• Ability to work well with all teams across the agency while demonstrating Movement Genius’s company values at all times
• Commitment to completing work on-time that meets or exceeds expectations of quality
• Ability to maintain working quality and pace on programming adjacent to mental health topics such as suicide, anxiety, stress, eating disorders, racial iniquity, poverty, and more.
