Summary: The primary responsibility of this role as the HR Manager/Generalist will be to develop and maintain an effective employee relations function, hourly production workforce recruiting, and deploying large-scale HR initiatives, programs and processes. This position will also take lead on managing the recruitment process by sourcing, attracting, and hiring talented candidates as we scale up our operation in Columbus Ohio. The ideal candidate will also help develop performance management programs, create market-based compensation strategies and help investigate and resolve employee matters.

This position reports to the CFO located in Denver, CO and will work closely with the CEO and operations team located in Columbus OH. The individual will work autonomously and will need to be self-motivated with a can-do attitude.

Roles and Responsibilities: •Build a workforce that creates a competitive advantage by recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent •Build the company’s professional network and social media presence •Develop and execute recruiting strategies to fulfill personnel needs •Identify, screen and source quality candidates •Manage interviews and the employment process •Implement HR best practices and standards •Advise and coach hiring managers on interviewing techniques •Create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork •Help Coordinate all DOL, tax filings and regulatory requirements with our PEO •Draft policies and procedures for use in our employee handbook, etc. •Takes appropriate disciplinary action when employees violate policies and/or regulations •Ensure STAQ complies with all regulatory requirements and labor laws •Currently manage 1 employee, more in the future as we scale •Willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed •Ad hoc work as the role evolves and company grows

Qualifications and Education Requirements: •Bachelor’s Degree in human resources management, business administration, organization development or a related field •Expertise in HR policies and procedures •Strong knowledge of hiring processes •Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations •Sound judgment and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions •Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion •Team player with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) •Ability to lead within the organization •Efficient building relationships •Integrity and maintains high level of confidentiality •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite •HR certifications Preferred
