About the Right Candidate

The Director, Partner Success is a critical member of Rev1’s Partnership team, a diverse team driving connectivity between startups and corporates. You’ll join our Columbus South Campus Gateway office (hybrid working model) on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring partner delivery with key Research and Corporate Innovation partnerships. Reporting to the Managing Director, Corporate Partnerships, this team member is a highly organized project management expert and an excellent communicator; and can work cross-functionally with Rev1 team members/executives, Corporate Partners, and startup community peers. With strong organization, project, and program management skills, you will lead a wide range activities and commitments.


  • Own partner program delivery to ensure desired impacts and outcomes, leading to the renewal and expansion of partner commitments.
  • Engage partners as the primary project manager, directing communication throughout the organization and with partners for clarifying program requirements and conducting reviews against commitments to achieve.
  • Lead, manage and oversee multiple projects and initiatives, providing guidance to internal and external cross-functional teams and ensuring partner satisfaction.
  • Facilitate meetings, agendas, discussions that drive and achieve project and partner objectives.
  • Serve as a consultant to corporate partners, collaborating to understand desired impacts, strategic drivers, industry dynamics, and innovation culture. Offer solutions that meet unique partner needs and leverage Rev1’s strengths, team members, and stakeholders. Advise and consult to establish, develop and grow partner innovation strategy.
  • Lead scoping projects with corporate partners to identify market opportunities ripe for startup partnership, investment or new venture concepts.
  • Synthesize industry and startup data to help guide partner opportunity.
  • Oversee deal flow sourcing, vetting and engaging for assigned Rev1 innovation partner accounts by engaging in industry research, discovery conversations and partner engagement.
  • Create professional slide decks to communicate project/program status to internal and external stakeholders
  • Attend targeted industry events to network and identify startup and partner opportunities.
  • Be a credible spokesperson for Rev1 externally (conferences, business to business meetings, community stakeholders, etc.).


The ideal candidate is passionate about business process and implementing and enhancing corporate innovation programming and best practices. We believe success in this position requires a healthy mix of left-brain (detail-oriented and analytical) and right-brain (communicative and collaborative).

  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience working with entrepreneurs, corporate innovation, or venture capital. Master’s degree preferred with experience in corporate venture commercialization.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to tactfully engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project management expertise: ability to take detailed notes, manage timelines, stakeholder activities and communication to achieve project and partnership objectives.
  • Self-starter with ability to own a project and/or or partner account delivery end to end.
  • Willing to explore new ways to approach problems and opportunities. Optimistic, always questioning how it can be done better, understands risk mitigation and above all, ability to execute.
  • Comfortable working within an established, yet evolving system to identify, develop, mature and harvest startup-corporate opportunities.
  • Experience understanding where and how technology or new business models can address key challenges and present new opportunities for customers.
