SUMMARY

Candidate will develop SEO roadmap for Movement Genius across website and social properties, as well as create a strategy for paid media campaigns on Google, Facebook, and Instagram. Candidate will collaborate with the team on testing, reporting, and revising campaigns to achieve goals.

EXPANDED RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SEO & Paid Marketing Intern is a two-part, paid internship for a professional who assists in advertising and promotional efforts for Movement Genius through digital communication channels. The candidate is responsible for SEO research, completing clerical and administrative duties related to campaigns, building SEO roadmaps, and preparing promotional or advertising materials related to a campaign. They may also be called upon to create presentations that advise their managers on campaign testing outcomes.

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) focus will include research, strategy development, implementation, monitoring and reporting on Movement Genius’s organic search campaigns across website and social media properties.

SEO Marketing Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Auditing existing websites

● Competitive research and benchmarking

● Keyword research and mapping

● Content writing and optimization, or assigning to MG’s Copywriter

● On-page optimization of Transaction pages

● Link building outreach

● Monitoring and evaluating results including building reports on those results, for the Movement Genius founders

The Paid Marketing focus will include connecting Google AdWords to the Movement Genius website properties. It will involve research, strategy development, implementation, monitoring and reporting on Movement Genius’s paid marketing campaigns across website and social media properties.

Paid Marketing Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Auditing existing paid social media promotion

● Competitive research and benchmarking

● Keyword research and mapping

● Identifying all Visual Assets needed for Paid Campaigns

● Content writing and optimization, or assigning to MG’s Copywriter

● Distribution roadmap for paid marketing campaigns

● Monitoring and evaluating results including building reports on those results, for the Movement Genius founders

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

The Intern will work alongside our CEO for Content Strategy, Digital Media and User Experience to achieve client results through integrated digital marketing. The Intern will work alongside the COO for Paid Marketing Spends and Reporting.

● Very strong verbal and written communication skills

● A hunger for learning and the ability to perform independent research to solve problems

● Proficiency with Google Sheets, Google Docs, Piktochart or Canva, Google AdWords, FB/Meta Business Manager

● A working knowledge of Social Media platforms including Tiktok, Facebook, and Instagram

● A working knowledge of search engine optimization and/or digital marketing is needed for success

● Ability to thrive while working on multiple projects with strict deadlines

● Ability to work well with all teams across the agency while demonstrating Movement Genius’s company values at all times

● Commitment to completing work on-time that meets or exceeds expectations of quality

● Ability to maintain working quality and pace on programming adjacent to mental health topics such as suicide, anxiety, stress, eating disorders, racial iniquity, poverty, and more.
