HyperPath Solutions brings together a leadership team with over 30 years of digital pathology, biorepository, and data sciences experience to support the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences communities. The team focuses on designing software platforms, algorithms, cold chain logistics, and digital pathology review services to support clinical trials, biomarker development, and other research projects in multiple diseases.

HyperPath specializes in sample processing and management, image generation, image management, image analysis, pathology review, big data management, robotics, and custom algorithm development. The HyperPath Solutions Laboratory utilizes multiple ultrafast high-resolution imaging robots to provide whole slide scanning services along with private cloud infrastructure and a supercomputing environment to generate, manage, and analyze large data sets.

This position will be in-person with an expected 10 - 20 hours/week, hours are flexible according to the student’s schedule.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Transferring data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis

● Creating new, experimental frameworks to collect data

● Document and test new software applications

● Building tools to automate data collection

● Searching through large data sets for usable information

● Correlating similar data to find actionable results

● Skilled in using computers and related software

● Skilled in data analysis and problem-solving

● Reviewing and enhancing source code for existing applications, especially adding comments on function of code segments

● Participate in technical reviews throughout the course of development projects

● Work in small groups with other technology team members

● Troubleshoot minor technology equipment malfunctions such as printers, barcode printers, barcode scanners, touch screens, desktop computers

● Perform software updates and backups when requested

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

● Undergraduate Student or Graduate Student pursuing a college degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Development, Visual Computing

● Interest and/or experience in laboratory sciences, medical imaging, and company growth

● Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

● Customer service oriented

● Analytical thinking and strong communication skills are a must

● Ability to manage data, research topics proficiently, and think holistically

● Understanding of computing hardware devices and data network concepts

● Experience programming in C, C++, or JAVA

● Experience in database management tools such as MS-SQL

● Experience working with Visual Studio Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and Dot NET libraries

● Familiarity with source code debugging techniques

● Familiarity with software configuration management and versioning

● Demonstrable data organizational skills
